Benevolent people are motivated by an active drive to improve the well-being of those closest to them. Though this mainly manifests within their closest relationships, they are compelled to lend a helping hand to both friends and strangers alike. They are altruistic in platonic and romantic relationships, often expressing love through emotional support or acts of service.
The two values associated with caring for the welfare of others are Universalism and Benevolence. Whereas Universalism relates to caring for the welfare of the planet and humanity at large, Benevolence relates to caring for individuals.
Similarly to high scorers in Altruism, Benevolent people will have a strong drive to support their friends, families and partners. Their love expression may manifest in emotional support or acts of service. They will be the first to give someone a helping hand and will go out of their way to devote time and energy to help their partner when they are in need.
